Demolition is a serious business. That’s why we ensure that each job is carried out in compliance with health and safety legislation. We undertake comprehensive site and project planning beforehand, to reduce the chance of any problems occurring. These assessments limit risks and ensure that the demolition is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption. The ethos at Jim Wise is demonstrated throughout the ways in which we carry out our health and safety checks.
Ongoing training, safety monitoring and assessment are an important part of our day-to-day business. We strive to not only maintain this record but to also continually improve it in any way that we can. We even have our own NEBOSH certified health and safety offer so you can be reassured that our demolition experts follow all the recommended guidelines are tailor these to each specific job, as there are different risks involved.
Extensive health and safety training
We work closely with health and safety consultant to keep up-to-date with the latest technical developments and new health and safety legislation. These independent consultants audit our systems on a regular basis and make unannounced inspections at our sites. We make sure that this is in constant movement for the company to allow for growth and improvement.
Our environmental policy is adhered to at all times and updated in line with current legislation. With all of our demolition projects, the utmost is done to recycle, reuse and ensure that we support the current status of the environment. Our reclamation yard in Stoke-on-Trent often takes on a lot of the materials that are reusable, so that they do not go to waste or to a landfill site that could potentially cause more problems. We encourage methods that prevent waste entering our environment and get rid of all waste accordingly.
