About This Project.
Jim Wise Demolition completed the demolition of a former mill building in Hyde, Greater Manchester — a complex project involving extensive asbestos removal, soft strip and structural demolition of the historic mill structure. Former mill buildings typically contain significant quantities of asbestos in various forms — insulation, floor tiles, lagging and roofing materials. The Hyde mill required a carefully planned, multi-phase asbestos removal programme before demolition could commence.
All asbestos was removed under HSE licence, with the mill then fully demolished and the site cleared on programme. Full asbestos documentation, air monitoring records and waste transfer notes were provided to the client.
How We Delivered It.
All works were carried out by Jim Wise Demolition’s directly employed team of trained and accredited operatives, working under a detailed method statement and risk assessment. Full waste transfer documentation, H&S records and project sign-off were provided to the client on completion.
