FAQ

Your
Questions
Answered.

What areas does Jim Wise Demolition cover?

Based in Stoke-on-Trent in the heart of Staffordshire, we cover the whole of England, Wales and Scotland — mobilising within 48 hours. Core territories include Staffordshire, Cheshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands, Manchester, Liverpool, Yorkshire, London and beyond.

What types of structures can you demolish?

No project is too large or too small. We handle everything from single domestic structures to large industrial complexes, hospitals, schools, warehouses, retail parks, mills and infrastructure. Our own plant and directly employed workforce means no subcontracting of critical operations.

Is a site survey really free?

Yes — all site surveys and quotations are completely free of charge and carry no obligation. We visit your site, assess the structure and constraints, and provide a detailed fixed-price quotation, usually within 48 hours.

Will you dispose of materials after demolition?

Yes — we recycle and process all materials from demolition and ensure hazardous materials are treated with full compliance of all governing legislation. We divert 95%+ of demolition waste from landfill through on-site crushing, segregation and recycling. Full waste transfer notes are provided.

Do you have the necessary licences and permits?

Yes. Jim Wise Demolition holds an HSE licence for asbestos removal, is ConstructionLine Gold accredited, SSIP Acclaim certified, NEBOSH and IOSH trained, and registered as a licensed waste carrier. We handle all necessary notifications, permits and method statements as part of every project.

How quickly can you mobilise for an emergency?

Our 24/7 emergency line is answered immediately. We can typically have plant and a qualified team on site anywhere in England and Wales within 48 hours of instruction — often faster in the Midlands and North West.

What is the typical timeline for a demolition project?

Timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. A small residential demolition may take a few days; a large industrial complex may take several weeks or months. We provide a detailed programme with every quotation and report progress daily during works.
