About This Project.
Jim Wise Demolition was appointed by McCarthy & Stone to carry out the full demolition of Portland Mill in Leek, Staffordshire. The former mill building was cleared to enable the development of a new residential scheme by the nationally recognised retirement living developer. Works included asbestos survey and licensed removal, full structural demolition, on-site concrete crushing and complete site clearance, all delivered safely and on programme.
The site was handed over to McCarthy & Stone ready for their residential development to commence.
How We Delivered It.
All works were carried out by Jim Wise Demolition’s directly employed team of trained and accredited operatives, working under a detailed method statement and risk assessment. Full waste transfer documentation, H&S records and project sign-off were provided to the client on completion.
